“Who were the Pharisees really? Just a bunch of intellectual bullies who kept their own wolves at bay by focusing all their attention on others’ frailties. How many of us are still running from our own loneliness, our own pain, our own concepts of who and what we need to feel safe and okay in our lives? Jesus Christ came to free us from that yoke. He came to teach us, by example, a new way to live, and to give us the courage through His love and sacrifice to choose this new way. Now it’s up to us. What will we choose?”

You friend, and you friend, but you are enemy
I was brought up to know what’s wrong from right
When I judge you I feel justified until this doubt creeps in
And I look around once again – What would Jesus see?

Walk to a different beat, drum to a different drum
Eye people in the streets without conclusions
Throw all your beliefs to the wolves of doubt
Turn from the Pharisees and you’ll find out that

Your world has wide open spaces
Left by the One who gave His life to prove
Your heart has plenty of room for love
He showed the way but now it's up to you

Lonely, lonely, lonely I am
Lord, is it too late for me to start again
Kept everyone at bay for far too long
This day I wake and wonder where they’ve gone and how to tell them
That I’m alone and need a friend and I’m sorry
