Hold Me, Teach Me

"A prayer for anyone who has ever felt lost or alone in this world….I can say from experience that it helps to contemplate all the ways we want and need God to care for us. Because in the contemplation comes prayer, and into the prayer flows Grace….."

Here I am, oh Lord, not knowing what I stand for
I somehow got this far, and it isn’t what I planned for
And so I turn to You ‘cause I believe that You can do
Miracles like no one else, that You can save me from myself and

Hold me, teach me, heal me, lead me
I am Yours forever and ever
Seek me, show me, love me, know me
I am Yours forever and ever

Make me what You saw the first day that You formed me
Make me by Your Law and according to what’s holy
Oh, I long to comprehend this journey to its end
From where I’ve been to someday come right back to where I started from and

I will always be yours forever, yes, I will hold your hand
Will always be yours, you never will be alone again
I will always be yours forever, yes, I will be your Friend
Will always be yours, you never will be alone again
